Been busy

Well, daughter and I haven't really created anything together this week. I was too busy getting prepared to do a maternity photo shoot (3rd time doing maternity shots, first time for someone that isn't family). The birth mom is having the baby for another couple and daughter created a representative of the parents using the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.

No crafting tonight

We (my daughter and I - hubby is out snowmobiling and missed the fun) had mygrandson at my house today while his parents went to Costco for my son's Christmas bonus shopping spree (something his job does for them). I forgot what a handful a 20 month old can be...boy is he entering his terrible twos :)

I have had a lot of compliments about my letters and some are shocked that I am just a beginner. Well, I am not a beginner with the computer or some of the more popular computer programs (Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro) and I imagine this helped out a little bit with figuring this out.

I used both programs mentioned above (mainly cause I have Paint Shop Pro on the computer I spend my days on and Photoshop on the other one) along with Inkscape and Sure Cuts A Lot. I have only prepared the letters through H (only have cut out through E) and will write down step by step directions on my process the next time (probably Monday) I prepare more letters. Once I have it documented I will share the how to on here. I hope it can help one person figure out how to do this (even though I am sure there is an easier way).

Off to look for some more fonts to turn into fun!! :)

We Are At It Again!!

We decided to redo the C because it was quite a bit larger than the other letters. No stripes this time. It isn't my favorite of the ones we have done, but overall it will work :)

D is for Dog...I think this one could use a little work...nothing bad, just things didn't quite line up right. Tried to tell my daughter we needed to make the corner of the D yellow since he was watering it.

What can I say about this one...nothing is cuter than an elephant (well except my grandbaby). I now have to catch up and get some more converted :)

Thanks for looking and I appreciate all the comments. I gives me incentive to keep going.

Sharing My Alphabet?

I got an email and was asked about sharing my alphabet files that my daughter and I are working on together. How much interest would there be in me sharing the svg and scut2 files? They are a lot of work to create and save (although fun) and I don't want to "waste time" on something that no one would be interested in having.

C Is For Cat

Well this one was very challenging for my daughter to put together. Lots of very tiny pieces. I think it turned out very nice considering how tedious it was. It sized a lot bigger than the other letters came out :(

Oh well...last one for the night. See you again soon with more adventures of my alphabet haha

Mother Daughter Project

Daughter came down stairs and was wanting to participate in my creativity so we sat down and made this B Is For Bear. She is having a baby at the end of April so maybe this is something that her and I can work on for a book for Ayden (my future grandson).

Anyway, be on the lookout for "C is For Cat". It is an ugly cat but she wants to make it a bright orange cat with some brown stripes. Should be interesting :)

I DID IT!!!

WOW I actually created a SVG Files, put it into Sure Cuts A Lot, cut it out AND got it put together.

Sent the picture to my daughter-in-law and she said he looked very angry. Well, at least I figured out this machine this much :)
